The Verizon cabling was successfully pulled over onto the support arms without the need for re-wiring.  The issue with pedestrian walkway decking was fixed immediately upon notification.  They added additional sheathing to the entire path.

An issue is still pending on the canal bridge.  The contract calls for only the fascia beams to be removed and replaced.  After their removal the contractor noticed that some of the interior beams were in disrepair and warranted review by MassDOT.  The review of what to do with these beams is being conducted by the structural engineers and MassDOT.

Additionally stop sign and yield to pedestrian signs were installed at the egress of Ames.  There were some issues with motorists taking advantage of the lack of traffic from the bridge to exit without hesitation.

MassDOT is working on plans to install a temporary signal at Center St and 391.  Installation is tentatively scheduled for September.
